Hustle and bustle and great souvenirs await you on the most diverse ...

Transport

Many airlines fly to Bangkok directly or via a stopover You can find cheap flights at

Günstige Flüge findest du bei skyscanner.de

The cheapest way to get around Bangkok is to use public transport, preferably the Metro (MRT) or the Skytrain (BTS) to avoid traffic jams.

Of course you can also take a taxi, but make sure that the taximeter is switched on.

TukTuks are also typical for Bangkok, but unfortunately the prices are too high here too. You negotiate the price with the driver before you start your journey. As a guide, I recommend the GRAB app, so you have a clue for the price and you can also use it to order a driver.

Hotel

In Bangkok you can find really great hotels at very reasonable prices. It is best to look for one with good public transport connections.

I can recommend the Ibis Styles Sukhumvit and the Quarter Ari by UHG Both have great rooftop pools and the BTS station is only 5 minutes away.

You can find even more great hotels at booking.com

Sightseeing

the Grand Palace

The Grand Palace is one of the largest temple complexes in Bangkok. In the former royal palace is also the Wat Phra Kaeo Temple, in which the Emerald Buddha stands.

Observe the dress code when you visit

- Take off your shoes and hat

– Cover shoulders and knees

Wat Arun

On the opposite bank of the river from the great palace you will find Wat Arun. Four steep stairs lead all the way to the top.

Chao Phraya

On the river you can take a river cruise past the temples to Chinatown. At  chaophrayatouristboat there are hop on hop off tickets that you can use all day long

Chinatown

Chinatown as you imagine it takes place around Yaowarat Road. Between the colorful streets you can try the best street food. Especially if you are still afraid of contact with street food, I can recommend the tour with GetyourGuide, so you get an impression of what you can try without any problems.

Lumphini Park

To escape the hectic city, discover the green highlight of the city. And if you walk a bit carefully through the park, you have the chance to see wild monitor lizards

Mahanakhon Skywalk

You can get one of the best views of Bangkok from the Mahanakhon Skywalk. If your hotel does not have a great rooftop, you have a great alternative to enjoy the view over the city. As a highlight, there is also a glass floor at a height of 314m
